Dr. Tomlinson received his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Harding University in Searcy, AR in 2016. He returned to his Alma mater in 2019. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy there. His education focused on the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. There was a heavy emphasis on manual techniques. Jacob gravitated more towards using his hands for treating musculoskeletal disorders. He preferred this over modalities and traditional exercise-based models. 

Since obtaining his DPT, Jacob has practiced in various physical therapy settings. These include pediatrics, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, hospice, and finally outpatient. It is in the outpatient setting that Jacob found his stride to treat musculoskeletal pain with a hands-on approach. Since working in the outpatient setting, Jacob began pursuing a Diploma in Osteopractic. He wanted to further enhance his skills with the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal disorders. He sought to use the highest level of current evidence. This new model led Jacob to have a passion for the treatment of spine-related disorders. He focuses on migraine headaches, sacroiliac joint disorders, and chronic low back pain.
